Danny Brown @ KOKO London (19.03.26)

Detroit’s Danny Brown opened his UK run with a strong set at KOKO in Camden, kicking off the Stardust Tour.

From the moment he stepped on stage, it was clear this wouldn’t be a laid-back show. Performing solo but accompanied by his DJ, Danny moved constantly as he delivered his bars, holding the room’s attention throughout.

KOKO was full across all levels, with the crowd packed from the floor to the balconies.

The lighting was hectic and matched the tone of the set, fast-moving and intense, complementing the sound of the new material. Leaning into tracks from his latest album, he introduced the crowd to a new direction in his music. “Copycats” stood out early, with fans quickly picking up the hook and responding in unison.

Part of what keeps a Danny Brown set engaging is the shift in pace. As the newer material settled in, he switched direction, bringing in older tracks. When “Ain’t It Funny” dropped, the reaction was immediate, with the crowd pushing forward and matching the track’s energy.

Throughout the set, Danny kept things direct and consistent, moving between tracks without much pause. The connection with the audience remained steady, carrying the show from start to finish.

If this opening night is any indication, the Stardust Tour should continue to draw a strong response across the UK.
