GAWD - Lie To Me (Single)

LA R&B duo GAWD return with “Lie To Me,” a slick, emotionally charged new single that marks the start of a bold new era for the pair and offers an early taste of their debut album, set to arrive later this summer.

Produced by Grammy winning drummer Stanley Randolph alongside collaborator Poe Leos, the track blends classic R&B sensibility with a sharper, modern edge. It’s a confident, slow burn banger built on rich harmonies and GAWD’s signature direct lyricism, the kind that cuts straight to the emotional core.

At its heart, “Lie To Me” explores that uneasy space between intuition and denial: the moment you know the truth, but part of you still wants the other person to keep pretending. It’s vulnerable, but there’s power in that honesty, a theme GAWD continue to explore as they carve out their lane in contemporary R&B.

The release arrives after a major year for the duo. In 2025 they joined Durand Bernarr on tour and contributed writing and vocals to his Grammy winning album Bloom. They also expanded beyond music, appearing in the opening of Anderson .Paak’s directorial debut film K-Pops after supporting him on his 2024 Malibu Tour.

To celebrate the new single during Women’s History Month, GAWD will perform at UNPLUGDLA, continuing their commitment to community led, women centred creative spaces.
