LA based Sudanese American artist Dua Saleh (they them) has announced Of Earth & Wires, out 15 May via Ghostly International. Executive produced by Billy Lemos, the album is a warm, frenetic and spiritual body of work that pulls apart indie, R&B and electronic pop, weaving in flashes of Sudanese folk, UK dance and baile funk. It is a record preoccupied with home, humanity and renewal, anchored by ambitious forward looking production and clear eyed lyricism.

Alongside the announcement, Saleh shares two new singles featuring Bon Iver: “Flood” and “Glow”. On “Flood”, Saleh’s sharp wordplay rides a synth driven bounce, offset by Justin Vernon’s falsetto hook. “Glow” deepens that chemistry, with the pair trading soulful toplines over a sleek R&B groove. Both tracks grew out of open, instinct led sessions in Minneapolis with local collaborators, including Psymun.

Written amid a period of upheaval while Saleh was filming Sex Education in Wales and reflecting on displacement, grief and belonging, Of Earth & Wires takes its title from a striking central image: land overtaken by wires. Across the album, Saleh leans into a potent duality, setting intimate, human melodies against moments of abrasive distortion, tracing the fragile line between connection and dislocation in an increasingly technologised world.
