Marlon Craft ft: Sly5thAve - Analog Man / Shoulders (Double Singles/Official Videos)

New York rapper and songwriter Marlon Craft has announced his new album The Internet Killed The Neighbourhood, landing 2 April, alongside two striking singles “Shoulders” and “Analog Man” featuring Sly5thAve.

Across the project, Craft wrestles with what it means to stay human in an increasingly digital world. It is a space where technology is politicised, monetised, and often dehumanising. The record is deeply personal, rooted in lived experience, sharp social observation, and Craft’s trademark technical precision.

“Analog Man” is the album’s centrepiece, an ambitious piece that fuses hip hop, jazz, soul, and classical music. Built on a beat by Havoc that flips Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings, the track evolves into a sweeping live arrangement of horns, flutes, piano, drums, and operatic vocals. Programmed and live elements collide, mirroring the song’s central tension between the digital and the human. A special live version, recorded in Mexico City with a string quartet and arranged by Sly5thAve, is also included with the release.

“Shoulders” offers a more vulnerable turn. Blending hip hop, soul, funk, and pop through rich live instrumentation, the track reflects Craft’s journey toward self reliance and artistic clarity. It captures the ethos of The Internet Killed The Neighbourhood in distilled form, a confident and cohesive statement shaped by five years of musical exploration.

Craft recently appeared on On The Radar Radio Rap New Class Cypher Vol. 1. Past shows have featured guest appearances from Sly5thAve, Oswin Benjamin, and Method Man, underscoring the community driven spirit that continues to define his work.
