MOBO nominated South London lyricist Catch returns with Heisenberg, a sharp and introspective new single produced by multi award winning artist SANTAN DAVE. A slick showcase of her versatility, the track finds Catch reflecting on past choices, personal hardship and growth, delivered through her unmistakable flow and emotive cadence. Built on a smooth, understated beat sampling Elmiene’s Marking My Time, Heisenberg is as reflective as it is assured.

Recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, the collaboration came from an organic connection between Catch and Dave that began with a simple Instagram DM and has since grown into a genuine creative partnership. The result is a track that feels focused, intimate and unforced.

Written during a period marked by isolation and self examination, Heisenberg captures Catch processing themes of guilt, mental health, religion and sexuality following her release from a custodial sentence. Music became her outlet, a way to confront complexity head on. As she puts it herself, “Heisenberg is a testimony to the journey that I’m on.” The title nods to the infamous Breaking Bad character, mirroring the duality and tension explored throughout the song.

Fresh off a MOBO nomination for Best Hip Hop Act, Catch’s momentum shows no signs of slowing. Recent highlights include an Invite Only freestyle for GRM Daily, a feature on Marnz Malone’s Yaqeen, and continued co signs from some of UK rap’s most respected voices. With her debut EP Young Trapper’s Dream already earning critical praise, Catch has firmly cemented her reputation as “your favourite rapper’s favourite rapper”.
