Ady Suleiman - Chasing (Album)

Seven years on from his debut album Memories, Ady Suleiman returns with clarity, purpose, and a renewed sense of self. His sophomore LP Chasing is a deeply personal document of the years between projects shaped by the emotional aftershocks of the pandemic, romance, mental health, and the quiet work of self refuge. Created independently and on his own terms, the album was written, recorded, and mastered between London and Zanzibar, reflecting both physical movement and inner recalibration.

Sonically, Chasing moves with warmth and intention, weaving neo soul, reggae, hip hop, and gospel influences into a cohesive, lived in sound. Collaborations are used sparingly but meaningfully, with features from Kofi Stone and Jah Digga, alongside production from Miles Clinton James. Across tracks like “Chasing,” “Family Tune,” and “Trusted You,” Ady interrogates self worth, accountability, and love with disarming honesty, letting vulnerability lead rather than polish.

Much of the album’s emotional depth is rooted in time spent away from the spotlight. During his hiatus, Ady lived across Zanzibar and Kenya, reconnecting with his Swahili ancestry and allowing space for personal growth. That sense of grounding runs through Chasing, an album that does not rush for resolution, but instead sits with feeling, reflection, and hope. It marks not just a return, but a reintroduction. Ady Suleiman as a fully formed storyteller, creating from a place of resilience, heritage, and hard earned self knowledge.
