Doja Cat Drops New Album Vie.

GRAMMY-winning superstar Doja Cat has just released her fifth studio album, Vie, via Kemosabe Records / RCA Records. Alongside the record, she’s unveiled the video for her new track Gorgeous, shot in New York by Bardia Zeinali and featuring appearances from the likes of Irina Shayk, Paloma Elsesser, Alek Wek and Imaan Hammam.

Speaking on the album, Doja explained the title: “The French word Vie (life) was a play on the roman numeral for five, since this is my fifth album. Five in numerology represents curiosity, adventure and change. Vie ties into romance, love, sex, pain and wonder — both in relationships with others and with yourself. Without life there is no love, and without love there is no adventure. This is an adventurous record, with nods to the 70s, 80s and 90s, reimagined with my own modern twist.”

The launch comes as Doja gears up for a busy run of appearances. She’ll co-host The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on 1 October before making her musical debut on Saturday Night Live for its season 51 premiere on 4 October.

Alongside the album, Doja has teamed up with Amazon Music on a new Vie-inspired merch line. Expect 80s-flavoured pieces including t-shirts, hoodies, silk scarves, a beret, rose-shaped compact mirror, and an exclusive clear vinyl edition.

Vie follows the release of her single Jealous Type, which she performed with Kenny G at the 2025 MTV VMAs. The track first surfaced during her Marc Jacobs Summer ’25 campaign.
