Charlie Jeer - Sun Is Gone (Studio Video)
Charlie Jeer Returns with Jazz-House Gem “Sun Is Gone”
Kent-born multi-talent Charlie Jeer is back with his latest single Sun Is Gone – a silky, jazz-infused cut that closes out summer with style.
Since debuting in 2023, Jeer has quickly risen to become one of the UK’s most exciting new names, racking up nearly 90 million streams across socials and close to 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Not bad for under 18 months on the scene. With backing from artists like Songer, Bloody Civilian, RUZE and Laurence Guy – plus nods from GQ South Africa and Out Now Magazine – his momentum is undeniable.
Sun Is Gone captures the bittersweet emotions of a whirlwind romance coming to an end. With smooth, understated vocals and his trademark saxophone textures, Jeer’s jazz-house sensibilities shine through. He even directed the accompanying video himself, further proving his creative chops.
Speaking on the track, Jeer says: “Sun Is Gone is about recognising a time in life ending and the feelings that come with it. The studio version is stripped back, raw and unfiltered – it feels true to myself and authentic.”
Only 22, Jeer’s path into music has been anything but straightforward. From completing his Grade 8 saxophone exam before his GCSEs, to studying economics, boxing, modelling, and even working as a McDonald’s security guard, he’s lived a dozen lives already. His TikTok following of 350,000 gave him the platform to leap into music full-time – and he hasn’t looked back.
After breaking through with Her Eyes last year, Jeer continues to push boundaries with his intoxicating blend of jazz, house and soul. With heavyweight playlist support from Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music, it’s clear Charlie Jeer isn’t just a rising artist – he’s one of the UK’s brightest new exports.
