NE-O - No.1 Hater (Single)

NE-O Drops ‘No.1 Hater’ – A Self-Produced Anthem of Graft & Self-Doubt.

Newcastle’s own NE-O is back with No.1 Hater, the second single from his upcoming five-track, self-produced EP. Built alongside Nifty Struggle at The Radge Tank and backed by Youth Music, the track flips between a bouncing bass drop and raw, unfiltered lyricism.

This isn’t just a flex — it’s a confessional. NE-O lays bare the weight of self-criticism while saluting the grind that keeps him pushing forward. Lines like “just wanna go clear for my mam, don’t have one thought ’bout being a star” show exactly where his ambition comes from: family, roots, and real life, not industry hype.

Following on from opening track Peugeot, this one acts as the EP’s closer, giving us both ends of the story and leaving fans guessing what happens in between.

After a huge 2024 — Reading & Leeds, Kendal Calling, MOBO Fringe, national radio play, and a UK tour — NE-O is cementing himself as one of the North East’s sharpest voices. And if No.1 Hater is anything to go by, the best is yet to come.
