Evidence - Unlearning Vol. 2 (Album)

Evidence Returns With Unlearning Vol. 2 — A Masterclass in Reinvention.

Grammy-winning emcee/producer Evidence is back with Unlearning Vol. 2, out August 15 via Rhymesayers Entertainment. The follow-up to his acclaimed 2021 release finds Ev deep in reflective territory — balancing grief, growth, and razor-sharp lyricism over production from heavyweights like The Alchemist, Conductor Williams, Beat Butcha, Coop The Truth, and, of course, Evidence himself.

The album’s singles, “Nothing To See Here” and “Different Phases,” already hint at the project’s smoky, introspective vibe, with visuals directed by SHEESH. Evidence says this is his first-ever direct sequel: “I wanted this album to feel aligned with Unlearning Vol. 1 and be open-ended… leaving room for a Vol. 3 in the future.”

Rather than coast on legacy, the Dilated Peoples co-founder pushes deeper — weaving hypnotic beats and emotive writing into a cohesive sound that’s both grounded and experimental. Guests like DJ Babu, Blu, Domo Genesis, and Larry June help colour the project without diluting its personal core.

Vinyl collectors can look forward to standard, deluxe, and premium deluxe editions, along with limited merch drops. For those who’ve followed Evidence’s career — from The Weatherman days to Grammy wins and collaborations with Kanye, Rapsody, and Westside GunnUnlearning Vol. 2 feels like both a continuation and a reinvention.
