Nigerian-born, London-raised artist Azekel shares the deluxe edition of his acclaimed album ‘Analyze Love’ via emPawa Africa. Known for his genre-defying sound and emotionally rich songwriting, the new edition expands on an already powerful project with standout new material and collaborations that further elevate Azekel’s artistry.
Anchored by new single ‘Thrillz’, an Afrodisco banger made with Grammy-winning producer Om’Mas Keith (Frank Ocean, Erykah Badu), the deluxe version deepens the album’s exploration of love, relationships, and self-reflection. Blending soul, Afrobeats, R&B, and highlife, ‘Analyze Love’ is a deeply personal body of work rooted in Azekel’s Nigerian heritage and shaped by East London’s eclectic musical landscape.
“This record reflects my growth, sonically, emotionally, and vocally. I went back to the records I grew up with and tried to make something honest and timeless,” Azekel says.
The deluxe edition also features powerful collaborations with Nao, Kojey Radical, Kwesi Arthur, Made Kuti, Anaiis, and Ivy Sole. From the sensual, sax-laced groove of “Chocolati” (featured on COLORS), to the romantic escapism of “Palmwine Dreamz”, the album captures both the intensity and fragility of connection. A reimagining of Ebo Taylor’s “Love & Death” also stands out as a bold homage to the Ghanaian highlife tradition.
Azekel’s work has been praised by The FADER, The Guardian, Pitchfork, and Dazed, and he’s collaborated with Gorillaz, Kokoroko, and Yves Saint Laurent, with past support from icons like Prince and Nile Rodgers. With over 30 million streams and acclaimed live performances at venues including Southbank Centre, The Barbican, and international stages like ART X Lagos and Cannes Film Festival, Azekel continues to position himself as a vital force in the global music scene.
