Raf Saperra - Crook (Single)

Raf Saperra Returns With “Crook”, A Gritty, Global Fusion.

Fresh off a sold-out world tour across the UK, US and Canada and riding high from his hit collaborative EP Renaissance with Canadian producer Ikky, British Punjabi innovator Raf Saperra is back with a brand-new single, Crook.

The track marks the first taste of his upcoming project Venomz Vol. II, the long-awaited follow-up to his cult classic 5 Deadly Venomz, set to land later this year via Mass Appeal / Fatboy Records.

Reuniting with long-time collaborator Taj Aulakh, Raf delivers a fierce yet soulful cut that blends East Coast hip-hop grit with the energy of Punjabi folk and Bhangra. It’s a hustler’s anthem built for both the street and the dance floor, hard-edged, hypnotic and full of swagger.

Speaking on the release, Raf says: “Crook is a hustler’s anthem for all the fly bruddas gettin’ it how they live, for the ones who move slick, stay sharp, and steal hearts without even trying.*”

Raf Saperra, real name Adeel Sardar Khan, has carved out a lane entirely his own. Rooted in traditional Punjabi vocals but shaped by Streatham’s rap culture, he’s become one of the most distinctive new voices in British music. His 2023 debut Ruff Around the Edges drew praise from i-D, The Face and The Guardian for its fearless fusion, while 5 Deadly Venomz saw him link up with Conway the Machine, Dave East and Big Body Bes for a Punjabi boombap masterclass.

A leading figure in the new British Asian cultural movement alongside names like Yung Singh, Raf continues to push boundaries from London to Berlin, where his tracks have become underground rave staples.

With over 12 million plays on Modern Mirza, co-signs from Vogue India and Outlander, and appearances at Paris Fashion Week, Raf Saperra is fast proving himself a true generational talent, one hit at a time.
