Kiyan Foroughi Launches Cosmic Debut with “Seas of Space”.

Singapore-based producer and storyteller Kiyan Foroughi steps into the music scene with his debut single “Seas of Space”, featuring vocalist Rachelle Ruby and rapper Jude, out 14 November 2025. The track offers the first glimpse into his forthcoming concept album inner light. OUTER SPACE., arriving February 2026.

Born in France to Iranian parents and raised between Paris, Dubai, Boston, New York, London and now Singapore, Foroughi brings a lifetime of cultural movement into his sound, a lush blend of neo-soul, R&B, trip-hop and jazz, inspired by J Dilla, KAYTRANADA, Nujabes and Anderson .Paak.

“Seas of Space” captures the moment before a great journey begins, hopeful, danceable and quietly philosophical. Drawing from Rumi’s prayer “Fling me across the fabric of time and the seas of space…”, the song explores ego death and rebirth beneath its bright, rhythmic surface. Jude’s verse adds grit and tension, warning against the illusion of the new.

The wider album inner light. OUTER SPACE. unfolds as a mythic, non-linear odyssey following a female protagonist (voiced by Rachelle Ruby) through alien worlds and inner trials. Inspired by Rumi’s mysticism and Carl Jung’s shadow work, the record invites listeners to journey both outward and inward. “Play it forward for ascension, in reverse for descent,” Foroughi says.

Ruby’s ethereal vocals form the emotional heart of the project. Once a local performer who had stepped away from music, she found herself returning to it after a chance conversation with Foroughi, who also happens to be her co-founder at tech start-up Needle. “Like Erykah Badu meeting Nujabes in space,” he describes her sound.

“This album is about remembering who you were before you forgot,” Ruby reflects. “And I’m still remembering.”

With collaborators including Substantial, Masia One, Darius Homayoun and Taiyo Ky, Foroughi’s debut looks set to merge soulful storytelling with cinematic scale, a journey across sound, self and the cosmos.
