Paul Stone & The Basement Collective - Embers (Single)

Paul Stone & The Basement Collective Ignite with “Embers”.

Yorkshire’s own Paul Stone & The Basement Collective return this autumn with Embers, a glowing, analogue fuelled slice of modern jazz that smoulders with heart and authenticity.

Recorded live in their self built basement studio using a vintage Neve console, “Embers” captures the magic of musicians in a room together, no digital polish, just real connection. The track’s message, “With Love You’re Already There”, is both soulful and quietly defiant, a reminder that genuine warmth still burns brightest in an increasingly synthetic world.

After time away from the spotlight for family and reflection, Stone’s comeback feels both personal and purposeful. The new single has already caught the ear of Jazz FM legend Robbie Vincent, “Lovely track, just remember this,” he said on his Music Garden show.

With radio support stretching from BBC Introducing and Radio Leeds to CBC Canada, Radio 2 Hong Kong, and KCSM in the US, “Embers” is already glowing well beyond UK shores. Spotify’s UK Jazz playlist has also shown early love, helping the band reach new ears.

More releases are on the way, along with festival dates for 2026 and a fresh label services deal with Ditto Music. For Stone and his band, the fire’s far from out, “Embers” is just the spark.
