French Moroccan artist Soane is back with her mesmerising new single “Fountains”, a standout from her forthcoming EP She Was, due 28 November.

Blending Parisian production with New York edge, “Fountains” is a sensual, self assured slice of alt R&B. Built on velvet soft percussion and glistening synths, the track drifts in a hypnotic haze while Soane’s vocal, smooth, seductive and utterly commanding, leads the way. “Can you feel the rush… longing for my touch,” she sings, pulling listeners into a world where desire meets quiet power.

Speaking on the song’s origins, Soane explains that it began at home, experimenting with Arabic textures and darker rhythms: “I wanted to make something mysterious and dangerous… a reflection of power, desire and vulnerability.”

Since her 2019 debut EP First Taste, Soane has steadily carved out her artistic universe. Early favourite “Teach Me How to Touch Me” gained significant traction, later exploding via a KC Gilmore remix that pushed her to a global audience. Recent releases like “Xx”, “La Peine” and this year’s “Bluer Skies”, championed by the likes of COLORSXSTUDIO and WONDERLAND, have only strengthened her momentum.

With “Fountains” and She Was following shortly after, Soane is entering her most compelling era yet. As 2026 approaches, she’s firmly establishing herself as a rising voice you’ll want to keep on your radar.
