Envee - 10957 Days (Album) + 10 Questions
ENVEE RE-EMERGES WITH INTIMATE NEW PROJECT: 10957 DAYS.
A deeply personal journey through sobriety, self-realisation and sound.
After years navigating personal storms and silent battles, Envee steps into the light with the release of his most vulnerable and introspective project to date: 10957 Days, available now on all digital platforms.
More than just a body of work, 10957 Days is a raw, unfiltered expression of healing—the sonic equivalent of stepping out of a cave and seeing yourself clearly for the first time. This isn’t just music; it’s a reckoning. A reflection. A reality check.
Collaborating with a range of producers including Christo Frank, MoreLess, j12, and Eezze, Envee doesn’t hold back. He wrote and rapped every word, pouring truth into every verse, not from a place of performance, but from the clarity that comes with sobriety.
“Everything I used to say I’d do while high, I’m actually doing now,” Envee shares. “Now that I’ve stopped drowning in the sorrow, I can finally see the root of it all. This project captures that shift.” - Envee
The title, 10957 Days, marks the days lived before this moment of artistic and personal awakening—each one a step that led to this release. It’s a chronicle of trauma, yes, but also of reclamation. There’s no preaching here, just perspective. Sobriety isn’t presented as a fix-all, but rather as a lens—one that makes past wounds, missteps, and patterns clearer than ever before.
Across the tracks, you’ll hear themes of accountability, grief, clarity, and creative rebirth. But most importantly, you’ll hear Envee—unmasked, unfiltered, and undeniably present.
Envee sat down with Wordplay Magazine to answer our infamous 10 Questions:
1. So tell me, how did it all begin? What sparked your love for music?
My love for music sparked in year 7, I was lucky enough to have an older brother who was plugged in and would keep me up to date with the scene.
2. Who are some artists that influence you and that you want to work with in the future?
When it comes to music artist’ that influence or inspire me to write there’s a select few. One being my close friend ‘SmileMoor’’, he really gave me the confidence to jump on beats, we all have a voice and how ever we use it should be displayed. And I’d have to give a mention to Louis Rei, his laid back style while saying a lot really sticks with me. Also Joe James is cold with it, his monotone style while barring is very slick.
3. What projects do you have coming up and can you give us any info on them?
No upcoming projects for the foreseeable. I’m focusing on feature films/acting with my close friend Stallone. Music will always be a passion which I’ll revisit when the time calls.
4. How would you describe your sound?
I’m not sure how’d I best describe my sound, as I’m still working out which cadence of mine I best like. I’d like to think I create something for the soul or at least a sound that resonates with someone growing up with baggage.
5. What's your proudest moment to date so far as an artist?
I wouldn’t say I have a proudest moment superficially since making music. The feeling of creating something, wether it’s “good” or “bad” but ultimately it’s purely me and my identity is a beautiful feeling of which I’m proud to own.
6. Do you have any advice for our readers who may be trying to play the mad game of music?
I’m not sure if I’m someone who can give advice on being in the music game as I’m very lowkey to say the least. All I’d say is, don’t be afraid. Create what you thinks cool and let’s the rest follow. I probably only like 6 out of the 20 songs I’ve put out there. Creating anything isn’t linear or perfect but it’s all part of the journey. Enjoy it and embrace whatever you create in the moment.
7. Are there any artists on your radar right now that we should check out?
N/A.
8. What albums are on heavy rotation on your Spotify playlist currently?
Albums I’m listening to currently are or constantly refer back too are:
‘Alfredo 2’ by Freddie gibbs and the alchemist
‘don’t look down’ Kojey radical
‘Made in the manor’ Kano
‘Alpha Place’ Knucks
‘Melo’ kwollem and Joe James
9. What do you like to do when you're not making music?
If I’m not making music im just living my reality, which is the simple life. I crave peace and mindfulness so I put a lot of time in to meditation, exercise and kicking back with a select few that keep my soul at ease.
10. Name Three things you can't live without when in the studio?
Ha, three things I can’t live without when I’m in the studio are: Herbal Tea, water with lemon and enough tabacco for a smoke every 5 minutes.
