Zeke the Zombie Slayur - I’m Glad I Made This (Album)
Zeke the Zombie Slayur Finds Freedom in I’m Glad I Made This.
Brooklyn’s own creative chameleon, Zeke the Zombie Slayur, returns with I’m Glad I Made This, a sprawling 26 track concept album that dives deep into self reflection, jealousy, and the pursuit of creative independence in a world obsessed with validation.
More than just a rapper, Zeke (real name Isaiah Nathaniel Benjamin) blends music, philosophy, and self-portraiture into a universe that is both surreal and spiritual. “I decided to make my master the pursuit for artistic independence,” he says, a statement that perfectly captures the album’s ethos.
I’m Glad I Made This feels like a dialogue between Zeke and himself, and between artist and listener. Across its tracks, he explores the tension between admiration and envy, creation and exhaustion, success and solitude. On standout cut be right there, he raps, “You say rapper, I say prophet,” a line that says it all.
A self taught producer, visual artist, and designer, Zeke handles everything from engineering to art direction through his own ventures Open Casket LLC and Sushi Palace. His world is one of raw honesty and imaginative freedom, equal parts streetwise and otherworldly.
Having modelled for Golf Wang, curated art shows under Sushi Palace, and staged immersive live experiences such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Zeke continues to redefine what it means to be an artist today.
At just 23, the Brooklyn native stands as a testament to creative self sufficiency, an artist making art simply because he is glad he can.
