Jolene Lozano - Emotional Damage (Single)
Jolene Lozano Returns with Fierce New Single ‘Emotional Damage’ and a Bold New Era.
Splitting her time between New York City and San Francisco, rising artist Jolene Lozano has made a name for herself with her raw, heartfelt storytelling and powerhouse vocals. With over 300,000 streams across platforms and a growing fanbase drawn to her honesty and genre blending sound, she’s quickly becoming one to watch.
Jolene has already headlined sold out shows at iconic venues including Café Du Nord and Brick & Mortar Music Hall, and will return to the latter in January 2026 to usher in her next chapter, the unapologetically bold JOJO era.
Her latest single, ‘Emotional Damage’, dives deep into themes of heartbreak, frustration and ultimately empowerment. Written and produced with long time collaborator Ryan, the track was born out of a shared moment of pain and reflection.
“I was in my breakup song era,” Jolene explains. “Not just from relationships, but from toxic friendships and people who made me doubt myself. The pre-chorus came to me when I thought about that anxiety of seeing certain names pop up on my phone: ‘When your name pops up on my phone, I turn to stone.’ It’s about how hard it is to break free when you’re still emotionally tied to someone who’s hurt you.”
‘Emotional Damage’ also marks the emergence of Jolene’s alter ego, JOJO, the fearless, no apologies version of herself. “She’s the part of me that doesn’t shrink back or say sorry for being angry,” Jolene says. “This song is for anyone who’s ever walked away from a conversation thinking of what they should have said. It’s about taking your power back.”
With this new release, Jolene steps firmly into her power, fierce, honest and unafraid to speak her truth.
