Temporary Blessings - Sumbisori (Album)

Temporary Blessings Unveil Sumbisori: A Cinematic Love Letter to the 1960s.

Melbourne’s cinematic soul scene gets a new chapter with Sumbisori, the debut album from Temporary Blessings, led by long-time local stalwart Liam McGorry (Saskwatch, Dorsal Fins, Ex-Olympian).

A lush homage to the golden age of Italian and French soundtrack music, Sumbisori channels the mood and mystery of film noir, giallo, and 60s library recordings. Recorded live with a dream team of Melbourne players from Surprise Chef, Karate Boogaloo, Saskwatch and Let Your Hair Down, the album captures what McGorry calls “a shared spirit” — cinematic and soulful in equal measure.

Produced by Henry Jenkins at College of Knowledge, Sumbisori combines brooding strings, bold horns, and hypnotic grooves with the kind of refined touch only years in the scene can bring.

The lead single “Cold Blood” is already out digitally — a chilling, horn-driven slice of European horror soul.

With Sumbisori, Temporary Blessings turn their collective gaze to the silver screen of the imagination — and it’s one worth watching.
