BLK ODYSSY x KIRBY - You Gotta Man (Single)

BLK ODYSSY releases ‘You Gotta Man’, an alluring single with singer/songwriter KIRBY. In this track, funky basslines and filtered drum lines come together to create a harmonically rich fusion of soul and R&B.

This is the third track from his recently announced album, ‘Diamonds & Freaks’, which will land 9th June. Diamonds & Freaks is a genre-bending mix of R&B, soul, hip-hop, funk & pop, narrated by bassist, producer and funk extraordinaire Bootsy Collins. As his second studio album, the conceptual project will be divided into three chapters, telling the story of a man enslaved by his lustful addictions.

BLK ODYSSY is a multi-faceted talent drawing influences from OutKast, Funkadelic and D’Angelo, BLK ODYSSY was heavily inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s seminal album To Pimp A Butterfly. Creating songs as a means of healing and inspiring his community, BLK ODYSSY’s musical output expresses grief, trauma while providing a critique of what it means to be black in America. His critically acclaimed debut album, BLK VINTAGE, which released in 2021, was a culturally insightful body of work exploring the plight of Black Americans.
