L-Nino - SZN-1 (EP)

L-Nino is a London-born rapper who aims to express his real-life experiences and the current affairs that tie in with them to entice his listeners. With people tuning in from the UK and the US, it goes with out saying that his constantly improving flow is bound to gravitate an audience from all corners of the globe.

The 7 tracks- including a bonus- that formulate the album present elements of nostalgia, with four samples having worked seamlessly within the piece, as well as a unique fusion of grime, conscious rap, and hip-hop.

SZN-1 (INTRO), the opening song which reflects the name of the album, initiates the main motive of L-Nino, to assert his place in the world of music, or as he calls it, his “Ninoverse”. A great feature with Kadence follows, which consists of a back and forth flow between the two artists, where both work cohesively to depict the “recipe” that Nino claims that they are towards the end of the second song. Other highlights of the album include “WORTHLESS” where Nino discusses the realism of worthlessness and what he has overcome, a theme that he reiterates in “MY SHORTIE” and “OUTRO”, two songs that also confer mental health, and his motivations in life.

Nino blesses us with a “BONUS (DON’T LOOK AT ME)”, the final song of the EP, which resonates uplifting, summer vibes, something that would definitely make someone who listens to this enraptured for both the season to come, as well as L-Nino’s future releases.
