As far as setting her sights far goes, this is just the beginning.

Tasha sat down with Wordplay Magazine to answer out infamous 10 Questions:

1. So tell me, how did it all begin? What sparked your love for music?

I’ve always loved music ever since I was a little girl. Thankfully I was enrolled in piano at a young age and trained my ear which helped me in the long run. Singing came shortly after and I immersed myself into so many different genres of music that I developed a love for all different styles and cultures through it. Musicals was the big ah-ha moment for me particularly “Wicked” and ever since then I knew, this is what I wanted to do.

2. Who are some artists that influence you and that you want to work with in the future?

Lately Ive been trying to stay away from artists who influence me because I want to develop my own sound/style. However, artists who inspire me are Alicia Keys, Sade, Fleetwood Mac, and The 1975.

3. What projects do you have coming up and can you give us any info on them?

My debut Album entitled “ Who I Am “ is coming out in 2023! It is a record that I am most proud of so far and it really hones in on my writing ability and sound that I am developing. I cant wait to share it with the world. The first single “ Space and Time “ is out not on all streaming platforms to get a taste of whats coming.

4. How would you describe your sound?

I write songs from the heart and past experiences, so therefore my sound is just an expression of my emotional journey. I don’t go into the studio and say “hey I want to write a r&b song“ I go into the studio and see what happens! It is in no way planned or linear and thats the best part I think.

5. What's your proudest moment to date so far as an artist?

My proudest moment so far as an artist is the release of Space and Time. Truly, the reason being is that its a moment that I saw how far i’ve come and to relish in gratitude for being able to do what I love.

6. Do you have any advice for our readers who may be trying to play the mad game of music?

The best advice I would give is to be persistent and work for it. It is not going to fall into your lap when you want and how you want. My magic formula is action + purpose = success.

7. Are there any artists on your radar right now that we should check out?

Absolutely! I appreciate young upcoming artists who write and sing their own songs as well. Such as Charlie Puth, Izzy Bizu, and Yuna.

8. What albums are on heavy rotation on your Spotify playlist currently?

The 1975 Deluxe version, In the Dog house Eye Dress, Adele Easy On Me.

9. What do you like to do when you're not making music?

I love to create beautiful spaces! I study Interior Design and it has been one of the best decisions i have made so far being a creative person who loves conceptual based projects!

10. Name three things you can't live without when in the studio?

Water, Notebook and my Producer haha!
