Adzmilli - By Myself (Official Video) + 10 Questions
18 year old South-West London artist Adzmilli explodes onto the scene with his new release and visual for ‘By Myself’.
The triple threat rapper, singer, producer and songwriter seems unbound by genre constraints, ‘By Myself’ showcasing the young artist’s ability in fusing natural rap flows with melodic prowess to craft an immediately polished, anthemic summer groove. Adzmilli explores notions of past lovers, nostalgic memories and reflections on former mistakes, mirrored in a brilliantly playful video featuring close friends and chart toppers A1 and J1.
Already sparking the attention of the Tik Tok community in a serious way, ‘By Myself’s addictive bops have already received over 1,000 creations from some of the plaform’s major stars who also make cameos in the video including Stephany Ureste, Its Tia Mariee and Mia Eelisa.
Speaking on the track, Adz states ”It’s about the realities of a modern day relationship… It’s based on personal experience and me turning a negative into a positive through music. It means a lot to me as many feel a connection to the song, like I’m speaking their truth if they might not be brave enough to do it, or if they think they go through it alone.”
Adzmilli sat down with Wordplay Magazine to answer our infamous 10 Questions:
1. So tell me, how did it all begin? What sparked your love for music?
I’m from a musical family, my brothers were artists in their past ventures and my dad is a very able drummer who is very into the instrumental side of music.
2. Who are some artists that influence you and that you want to work with in the future?
From the UK - Young Adz, AJ Tracey, M Huncho.
From the US - Toosii, Polo G, Sleepy Hallow & Sheff G.
3. What are some of the problems you have faced making and releasing the music during the corona virus pandemic?
It’s all about mental strength at the given time to be honest. There were moments I questioned is this really worth it or am I wasting my time out of boredom. Because we had to stay inside anyway, as well as taking the 2 year break, I did made me wonder will listeners still appreciate hearing me anymore or had my ship sailed.
4. How would you describe your sound?
As of right now it can’t really be described because not many can do it and it has elements of many genres that exist right now such as trap, drill, R&B, Pop - all of it.
5. What's your proudest moment to date so far as an artist?
Touching my first 100K views was big for me personally.
6. Do you have any advice for our readers who may be trying to play the mad game of music?
Trust your gut and instinct find the sound and content that resonates with you personally and run with it. Those who are meant to hear it will hear it eventually, don’t chase a sound or a buzz because it goes away faster than it comes.

Watch & Play Football, cook. and I can’t lie I just love talking like a good discussion or a very fun conversation.

My phone, One Maggyyyyyy, and a good vibe.
