South Coast Ghosts - Stay Free (Single)

South Coast Ghosts put on an eclectic show of soulful sounds in their latest single ‘Stay Free’. Alternative Hip Hop with plenty of room for rocking, DiamondBack Kid’s crisp production sets the scene for Georgie’s vocals that seamlessly double up over the top of Tommy Brown and DBK’s energetic verses. Groovy guitars are provided by Fugitive Orchestra and James Joe while Teddy Trumpet provides some unforgettable horn flourishes. Having already been selected as ‘Record of the Week’ on BBC Radio Solent, ‘Stay Free’ is a deeper foray into the band’s sound leading up to their debut album release next year.

Straight out of Portsmouth and the surrounding areas comes an up and coming collective of independent rappers, musicians and singers collaborating under the name ‘South Coast Ghosts’. Creating tracks that lend themselves to a variety of genres - Rap, Hip-Hop, Soul, Rock and Jazz - the result is a rich array of soulful sounds packed with live instrumentation and perceptive lyricism. Since forming in late 2020, SCG have performed sets at Victorious Festival and Queens Hotel as well as receiving airplay on various local radio stations, including Record of the Week on BBC Radio Solent. The Ghosts are; Tommy Brown, Diamondback Kid, Georgie, Baby Panna, John Hicks, Fugitive Orchestra, James Joe, Teddy Trumpet and Dan Barrow.
