Despite the troubles of 2020 it’s safe to say that The Allergies have been a shining ray of light having had an absolutely glorious year, releasing their fourth studio album, achieving A playlist-status on BBC 6 Music and Radio Eins, climbing high in the NACC US college charts, and generally receiving critical acclaim from a world that has had an understandable appetite for joyful and fun music.

‘Jumping Off’ sees a vocal restyled from a classic Andy Cooper hip-hop cut into a party-starting, beat-tastic, dancefloor bomb, its magnetism making it a surefire crowd pleaser from the moment the needle drops. There’s more fire on the flip - ‘Gather Around’ is a chic, good time, upbeat soul-shaker, packing so much bombastic-ness it could make Shaggy blush.
