In Pics: Anderson .Paak & The Free National’s @ O2 Academy, Birmingham
The Oxnard born, Los Angeles artist, Anderson .Paak and The Free National’s played a one off UK show at O2 Academy Birmingham prior to performing at Reading & Leeds Festival the following weekend. For most of his 20’s, he recorded under the name Breezy Lovejoy but since has dropped that alias and released 5 studio albums. He’s signed to Dr Dre’s Aftermath label, which has seen the likes of 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Raekwon, The Game pass through in its time as an established label. The Beats headphones founder has a habit of picking winners from Snoop Dogg to Eminem. This followed on from his star move on Dr Dre’s comeback album, Compton which .Paak co-wrote and sang on six of the songs. Playing hit tracks such as ‘Bubblin’, ‘Make It Better' ft. Smokey Robinson, ‘Tints' ft. Kendrick Lamar and more from his most recent Studio Album ‘Ventura’ and his 4 other studio albums, Venice, Malibu, Yes Lawd, and Oxnard. You could definitely tell the venue was at it’s full capacity as you could barely move about, it was fully crammed. Here’s our favourite highlights #InPics.
