The Midnight Hour are currently touring the UK, but promoted under an alias with very little acknowledgment of previous careers, you would be excused for not knowing who they are.

TMH consist of Ali Shaheed Muhammad formally of A Tribe Called Quest and Adrian Younge, possibly one of the biggest names in hip hop production having worked with the likes of Jay Z, Wu-Tang, Kendrick Lamar, Rakim, Delfonics, Black Thought.... the list goes on.

Pairing up, Ali and Adrian produced the soundtrack and scours to Marvel's Luke Cage which was a huge hit for Netflix in 2017. This series lifted the bar with music, not only for the soundtrack but the endless number of guest performances including Charles Bradley, Stephen Marley, Ghostface Killa, Gary Clark Jnr, Jadakiss, Faith Evans, Jidenna. They put The Midnight Hour on hold while working on Luke Cage and then finally released the self-titled album last year alongside a tight rhythm section and a full orchestra. The album has features from some of the most celebrated names in contemporary hip-hop and R&B including Luther Vandross , CeeLo Green, Raphael Saadiq, Marsha Ambrosius, Bilal, Eryn Allen Kane, Karolina, Questlove and more.
