London Zoo will be releasing their new LP on Christmas day, featuring tracks with Jam Baxter and Stig of the Dump! Bookmark their Bandcamp page, tell your granny to switch Cliff Richard off and get Catfood on!
They’ve leaked a track, and you can download it for free now.
We run the 10 Questions by Stig Of The Dump, keep an eye out for the new single coming soon…..
1. Where are you from?
The part of your brain that filters out the bad things, by way of Newcastle, London & a whole heap of other places. I’m an Army brat
2. What/who are your influences?
Everyone & everything but mainly my need to escape or understand the shit storm raging in my head on the daily & my contempt for the world we live in.
3. What label are you on?
The mighty Lewis Recordings, run by Mike Lewis, who is basically Mr White from Breaking Bad but in a cardigan & bicycle clips.
4. Do you have a calling card or catch phrase?
An idiotic evil laugh & that feeling you get deep down inside when you feel like you shouldn’t be doing what your doing but still do it.
5. Are you touring? Where can I see you?
I’m continually doing live shows, mainly in & around the U.K, sometimes further a field. For a full list of my shows, visit my Official Facebook Page & scroll down on the “Music” tab.
6. Can you link us to a Youtube video of yours?
You can check a bunch of them on my Official Youtube channel or My feature for Charlie Sloth’s Fire In The Booth on 1Xtra.. I will be uploading the video for my impending Pete Cannon produced single “THEY” to the afore mentioned Official Youtube channel in the coming weeks.
7. What other UK artist should we look out for?
I could write a huge list of incredible UK artists, many of which are kinfolk but my favourites are Dabbla from London Zoo, Jam Baxter from Contact Play, King Kaiow from The I.R.S & Jehst, all of which i have worked with or am currently working with on unreleased projects.
8. You say a lot of words, but whats your favorite word of all?
Cunt, without a shadow of a doubt…
9. Ever tried Graffiti, Breaking, or producing beats?
I tried my hand at writing for about 6 months as a teen but never kept it up as i’m not a fan of climbing, or running from pork chop. I never took up break dancing, other than drunkenly body popping but a bag of my goonies from back home in Newcastle are dope breakers, shout out to D Rock, Image, Mouse, Timber & the whole NCK & Bad Taste… I always think about taking up production but never have the money to invest in the equipment or the patience to learn how to use it. I have co produced with other producers & given input on beats i have used in the past but my knowledge of the tech side or mixing/post production is pretty much non existent. I stick to what i’m best at, drinking & shouting into mics.
10. What’s your latest release and where can I get it?
I have the afore mentioned “THEY” single due out soon on Lewis Recordings, which I’ll push through my usual channels of Facebook, youtube & @StigOfTheDumpUK on twitter, as well as a P.R campaign etc. With regards my most recent release, I put out a series of Dubstep bootlegs called “Stig Of The Dubs”, which are all still available for free download via www.stigofthedumpuk.bandcamp.com along with my last official release “Mood Swings” & my entire back catalogue.
