A-Street Cartel consisting of emcee’s Trellion and Sniff, dropped this album middle of September, and it had to get a review. Both trellion and Sniff have a dark and distinguishing way of delivering complex lyricism. For a lot of people it will take a couple of listens to fully appreciate the energy and intellect pumped upon each track. The album reminds me more of the old school side of hip hop, repetitious drum and percussion loops setting the mood for the almost lazy vocal style of Trellion, smoothly pouring, diverse multi’s and time abstract concepts. Sniff complementing Trellions style with a faster paced piercing attack on deliverance.
For those after the slightly darker and abstract approach to Hip Hop check out another sturdy release from the Badtasterecord gang.
