Rhyme & Reason – Bristol

Headlined by Dirty Dike, Rhyme & Reason’s long awaited return was hugely anticipated after a 2 month absence. The night kicked off with a strong performance from Mista Switch, making his third Rhyme & Reason appearance.

This was quickly followed by yet another huge live set from Bristol’s own Split Prophets, at the forefront, Upfront MC fresh off the release of his second solo EP ‘The Sound of Evolution’ which he performed alongside the Split Prophets crew including Hi Res, Bil Next, Datkid and Paro. The set featured a few surprise tracks such as Datkid’s ‘Home by 8’ and Split Prophet’s latest track ‘Stick Up”.

The mic was then passed over to Dirty Dike, who, with full support from Jam Baxter and Ed Scissortongue performed a host of favorite tracks, including ‘Hi I’m James’ and ‘Pork Pie’, getting the packed out crowd off their trainers, with DJ Sammy B-Side on the decks. The night was closed by an impromptu open cypher featuring a host of MC’s, including Jman, Upfront MC, Datkid and more.
