ILL SESSIONS:
After months of preparation the Cambridge based b-boy crew Generation iLL finally had its inaugural event: ILL Sessions – The Christmas Jam. The breaking event of the year took place in Cambridge on Sunday December 18th, 2011.
With DJ D-Bo on the decks and hosts Swifty and Curious George warming up the crowd on a cold December day, the atmosphere was electric.
Dancers had travelled from all over the UK to participate and with all 32 open spots taken a host of hungry dancers pitted their skills against a handpicked selection of 16 b-boys and b-girls.
With an array of different styles, each battle was going off, each round showing the crowd something special and why breaking is such a dynamic and entertaining art form. If you’re into breaking keep your eyes on Ill Sessions events, we’ll definitely be supporting in future!
