We are blessed as a continent with (in my opinion the UKHH scene being more golden then ever) skilled emcee’s and producers dropping free albums for hip hop heads left, right and centre. Jpeg (1/6 of Small town boredom) is no exception.

Jpeg ‘From the little shoddy town of Hampshire’ has graced us with a free 6 track album. With Benny Aves (small town boredom) on point with production as he uses his crafted experience to create a delightful mixture of mellow and mood swinging beats. Jpeg takes the controls on the mic as he showcases his solo skills, this his solo project, deriving from small town boredom.

Bringing it back; See’s Aves throwing down an electro -infused hip hop beat. Guaranteed to get you bobbing no matter where you stand. Or sit. Never listen to this in a civilised establishment. With Jpeg spitting raw bars that’ll give you whip lash.

CMD+S; is one of those tune that you have no option but to listen to it on repeat when on a chilled one. With Jpeg teaming up with Sketchster and Kadenza (who’s flow go hand-in-hand to deliver eargasmic pleasure). Laying down a smooth flow that mesmerises you in the most hypnotic way.

Levity of Life; Midway through the album comes the slower, more down beat track and my personal favourite. As Jpeg again showcases his emceeing skill, as he paths a shadowed insight into the flip side of fun. Which some have experienced.

Sleep Paralysis; takes you to abyss of the mind and the paranormal. With lyrical crafting that deep into the feeling of sleep paralysis, complimented with samples that send shock waves down your putrid spine. A truly cynical tune that leaves your brain entwined with abnormal thoughts.

Threw Crack ;throws you Back into the upbeat, with the STB crew pick up where they left off with their debut EP ‘Small town boredom’. As they murk sound waves with unrefined snares and punchy bars that hit you harder than a Black and Decker hammer, leaving you quivering in your boots.

Third Time Lucky; see’s Baron Samedi takeover on production for the finale. Whose satanic beat lays the foundation for this story-telling-track, which is a raw -slick rick-esk tune, with a dark insight into the reality of misdirection.

Jpeg has treated us to a download full of insightful tracks that should be copped IT’S FREE!!!
