The hype around Odd Future is slowly beginning to fizzle out, after there latest album “The OF Tape Vol 2″ I realised that they were not as ground breaking or revolutionary as I first thought, not taking anything away from them as a movement I still appreciate the bizarreness of their content and the general dopeness they seem to carry with them its just like anything as soon as it gets jumped on by the masses the appeal for me wears thin. Something I do however relish with any new Odd Future release is the ability the Wolf Pack have in conveying there abstracted ideas into a visual medium, being able to step into the dark realm inside these guys brains is always interesting. Their latest “Sam is Dead” offering see’s Tyler and Domo Genesis relive an almost “Platoon” styled flick, the tracks pretty fly as well.
