Joey Bada$$ has blown up almost as quick as he arrived, swaggering into the limelight, carrying with him a quintessential air of that golden era Hip-Hop that has so rapidly been diluted down to cater by an army of whack rapper’s feeding popular society’s needs (annoyingly so). This kid is only 17 years of age but has already recorded one of the dopest mixtapes of this year “1999”, featuring cuts from J Dilla, MF DOOM, Lord Finesse & static Selektah Joey obviously grew up with his hands on the right sorta music and knows exactly what good rap should sound like.
A couple days ago this behind the scenes look at the shoot of “waves” was released, directed by Va$htie (Childhood Sweetheart) the full video is launching on July 1.
