Another up and coming face to become acquainted with, this time taking form of south coast emcee Spitfire hot on the recoil of his free 6 tracked “The Spitfire EP”.
This is a solid little release and a good introduction project into what Spitfire has to offer in the booth. Towa takes production throughout all material, laying a medley of somber cuts, gloomy sounding samples take priority creating a unique ambiance over the Ep, Pretty Dope. Spitfire un-relentlessly attacks each track with swift-tongued metaphors and good use of witty banter. The track that got me hooked on this release was “Slow Dance With Satan” which sets Spitfire in good stead for his forthcoming debut album, set for release late 2012. Think of this as a pre-cursor release to prick up the ears of you and I. Dope Stuff from camp Spitfire.
